Market Pulse + Screener terms
AlphaGen Glossary
AlphaGen uses a combination of fundamental scoring, technical trend analysis, sector rotation, and market regime signals. This glossary explains the key terms used across the platform so users can understand what each label, score, and signal means before making decisions.
Market Pulse
The Market Pulse page explains the broader market environment. It helps users understand whether the index is bullish, neutral, or bearish, and which sectors are attracting or losing strength.
Screener
The Screener helps users filter the market and find stocks that match specific model conditions.
Core AlphaGen Terms
7 terms- AlphaGen
- A technofundamental stock model that combines fundamental scoring with technical trend analysis to identify market opportunities and manage portfolio risk.

- AlphaGen’s combined method of analysis. Fundamentals measure business quality through scores, while technicals measure price trend, support behavior, and momentum across multiple timeframes.

- Setup
- The overall condition of a stock based on its scores, trend, health, liquidity, and sector backdrop. A good setup usually has strong fundamentals, supportive technicals, and favorable sector behavior.
- Market Universe
- The full list of stocks covered by AlphaGen. The Screener filters this universe to show only the stocks that match selected criteria.
- Model Score
- A 0–100 ranking that shows how strong or weak a company, sector, or signal is based on AlphaGen’s scoring framework. Higher scores generally indicate stronger conditions.

3 terms- Bullish
- A supportive market condition where the index structure, direction, and momentum are positive. Bullish markets usually provide a better backdrop for long opportunities.
- Neutral
- A mixed market condition where signals are not fully aligned. In a neutral market, selectivity becomes more important because some stocks may perform well while others remain weak.
- Bearish
- A weak market condition where the index structure has deteriorated. In bearish regimes, downside risk is higher and users may need to be more cautious.
